More finalised character design

After creating my two previous designs and getting feed back from them, feed back such as the knees where too low, the boots where too big, ( and the hair looked like tina turners). I had to rethink my approach to how I would draw the shapes of certain body parts. Taking inspiration from other artists and games characters such lara croft

facial colour

Here I've started off by poly painting face of this model and dividing out the sections of yellow at the fore-head, moving on to red which takes up most of the face, at the center and blue which is located below the lips. The next step was that I used various shades of orange and peach-like colours to add to the realistic skin tone. I think that the skin tones are looking quite good, although I would probably add more peach-like colours to the fore-head as it kind of looks a little too yellow at the moment.

To get the right idea of the skin tones I followed parts of this tutorial to achieve a more realistic look

character design

As you can tell I haven't been doing much drawing practice since last semester, as you can tell there are just a few things off with this drawing, the knee pads are too low down on the legs and the boots are maybe a bit too chunky and don't look a lot like boots and also what Ryan pointed out was that the characters hair had a sort of Tina turner look to it because of the ruggedness. Apart from these problems the overall anatomy of this character is ok, but I would like to improve these skills in later drawn concepts.
